Seller Agreement v1.0
Read the agreement here

1. About this agreement

This Seller Agreement ("agreement") is between GoldRatesDaily ("we", "us"), which runs GoldRatesDaily.com, and the jeweller or business that opens a shop on it ("you", "the seller"). It explains how you can list and sell on our marketplace and what each of us is responsible for.

You accept this agreement electronically by ticking the box and typing your full name as your signature. Under Pakistan's Electronic Transactions Ordinance, 2002, this electronic acceptance has the same effect as a signature on paper. We keep a record of the version you accepted, the time, your typed name and your device's IP address, and you can view or print your signed copy in the Seller Centre at any time.

This agreement works together with our Terms of Use, Refund & Return Policy and Privacy Policy. If they conflict on a selling matter, this agreement applies.

2. Who can sell

  • You must be at least 18 and run a genuine jewellery, gold or bullion business (a shop, workshop or registered trader) in Pakistan.
  • The details you give us (shop name, owner, address, phone, WhatsApp, email) must be true and kept up to date. Before approving or paying out, we may ask for proof such as the owner's CNIC, NTN / sales-tax registration, a shop photo or utility bill, and a bank account or wallet in the shop's or owner's name.
  • We review every new shop and may approve, ask for more information or decline. One shop account per business unless we agree otherwise.
  • Keep your login private. You are responsible for everything done from your Seller Centre account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

3. Your shop and listings

  • List only items that you own or are authorised to sell, and that you can actually supply.
  • Describe every item honestly: net gold weight, karat / purity, stone weight and type (shown separately from gold weight), size, and whether it is new, made-to-order or pre-owned. If you mention a hallmark, certificate or brand, it must be genuine.
  • Use real photos of the item (or of the same design), that you own or have permission to use. Don't use other sellers' or brands' photos, logos or names.
  • Choose the correct category, type and details. We may correct categories, edit obvious errors, or hide a listing that breaks these rules.
  • Not allowed: counterfeit, plated or filled items sold as solid gold; stolen goods; items with false purity or weight; anything illegal to sell in Pakistan.

4. Pricing

  • Live pricing: for live-priced items the website calculates the price as net gold weight × purity × today's rate plus your making charge (percentage or fixed rupees), and any wastage you set. You decide your making charge, wastage and minimum (base) price. If the live price falls below your base price, online ordering pauses for that item automatically.
  • Fixed pricing: you can instead set a fixed price for any item.
  • The price shown when the buyer places an order is the price you must honour, including the making charge shown. No hidden charges may be added later. Delivery charges and taxes must be shown to the buyer before they pay.
  • If a price is clearly wrong because of an obvious error, you may decline the order before confirming it, and any payment is refunded in full.
  • Rates on the site are an indicative guide based on international markets. You remain responsible for checking your own prices.

5. Orders and delivery

  • Confirm or decline each new order in your Seller Centre within 1 working day. Keep the order status up to date (confirmed, dispatched, delivered).
  • Ship ready-made items within 3 working days of confirmation unless you told the buyer another time in advance. For made-to-order items, agree the delivery date with the buyer in writing before you start.
  • Pack valuable items securely and send them by a tracked, insured service, or hand them over in your shop against the buyer's identity. Include an invoice showing the item, net gold weight, karat, making charge and total.
  • Answer buyer messages about an order within 1 working day, and treat buyers politely and fairly.
  • No going around the platform: for orders placed through the website, don't ask the buyer to cancel and pay you directly to avoid commission.
  • Buyers who contact you directly by WhatsApp or phone from your shop page are your customers. Sales made that way are outside the platform and commission-free, and you handle them under your own terms.

6. Commission and payments

  • Commission: your commission rate is 1% of the item price of each completed order placed through the website checkout (delivery charges excluded). No commission is charged on cancelled, refunded or returned orders, or on direct WhatsApp / phone sales. There are no sign-up or listing fees.
  • Your current rate is always shown in the Seller Centre. We may change it with at least 30 days' notice. A change never applies to orders placed before it takes effect.
  • Online payments (e.g. JazzCash, Easypaisa, card) are collected by us on your behalf through our payment provider. We pay you the order amount minus commission and the provider's fee to your registered bank account or wallet within 7 working days after the order is delivered and the 7-day return window has passed without a complaint.
  • Cash on delivery, bank transfer to you, or pay-at-shop: you receive the money directly. We send you a monthly commission statement, payable within 15 days.
  • If you think a statement or payout is wrong, tell us within 15 days and we will review it with you. We may hold the payout for an order that is under dispute, chargeback or investigation for fraud until it is resolved, and we may deduct refunds you owe buyers or unpaid commission from future payouts.

7. Returns, refunds and complaints

  • Our Refund & Return Policy is the minimum every seller must offer. In particular, items that are wrong, damaged or not as described (including weight or karat that doesn't match the invoice) must be accepted back within 7 days of delivery for a full refund or replacement. You may offer more generous terms.
  • Approved refunds must be paid within 10 working days of receiving the item back.
  • If a buyer and seller can't agree, we review the order details, messages and evidence from both sides and decide fairly. If we decide a refund is due and you don't pay it, we may refund the buyer from money we hold for you and recover the rest from you.

8. Buyers' personal data

  • Use buyers' names, phone numbers and addresses only to fulfil and support their order. Don't add them to marketing lists, share them, or sell them, unless the buyer separately agrees.
  • Keep this data safe, delete it when you no longer need it (subject to your tax record-keeping duties), and tell us straight away if it is lost or misused.

9. Your content and our promotion

  • You keep ownership of your shop name, logo, photos and descriptions. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to show, resize, translate and share them on GoldRatesDaily.com, our app, notifications, widgets, social media and adverts, to promote your shop and products while you sell with us and for a reasonable time after.
  • You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, and that it doesn't break anyone's copyright, trademark or privacy.

10. Taxes and legal compliance

  • You are responsible for your own taxes (including income tax and any sales tax) and for issuing proper invoices to buyers.
  • You must follow the laws that apply to your business, including consumer-protection law and the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing rules for dealers in precious metals and stones (including FBR's AML/CFT requirements, where they apply to you). Identify buyers and keep records for large or cash transactions as the law requires, and don't accept payments you suspect are illegal.
  • We may share information with authorities when the law requires it.

11. Fair conduct

  • No fake orders, reviews, ratings or enquiries; no misleading claims (for example about purity, discounts or certificates); no spam or pressure selling to buyers.
  • Don't copy or scrape other sellers' listings or our data, or try to interfere with the website.

12. Suspension and closing your shop

  • You can close your shop at any time from the Seller Centre or by contacting us.
  • We may hide listings, pause or suspend your shop if we reasonably believe you have broken this agreement or the law, received serious or repeated complaints, or put buyers at risk. Where possible we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first.
  • When a shop closes, you must still complete or refund any open orders, and amounts owed by either of us (payouts, refunds, commission) remain payable.

13. Responsibility and liability

  • We provide the marketplace. You are the seller of your items and are responsible for their quality, description, legality and delivery.
  • We aim to keep the website running and the rates accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we don't guarantee any level of sales.
  • Neither of us is responsible to the other for indirect losses such as lost profit or reputation. Our total liability to you under this agreement is limited to the commission you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, except where the law doesn't allow this limit (for example for fraud).
  • If a buyer or anyone else makes a claim against us because of your items, listings or a breach of this agreement, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses.

14. Changes to this agreement

We may update this agreement as the marketplace or the law changes. We'll give you at least 15 days' notice of important changes by email or in your Seller Centre, and you may be asked to accept the new version before continuing to sell. If you don't agree, you can close your shop before the change takes effect; open orders stay under the version that applied when they were placed.

15. Governing law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of Pakistan. If we have a disagreement, we'll first try to settle it in good faith within 15 days of one of us raising it in writing. If that doesn't work, it will be decided by the competent courts of Pakistan.

16. Notices and contact

We'll send notices to the email address and WhatsApp number on your shop account. You can reach us at info@goldratesdaily.com or WhatsApp +923313337253.

Typing your name and pressing the button signs this agreement electronically (Electronic Transactions Ordinance, 2002). We record the date, time and your IP address, and your signed copy is always available in your Seller Centre.
