Refund & Return Policy · last updated 4 October 2026
What is the return and refund policy?
Wrong, damaged or not-as-described items (including weight or karat that doesn't match your invoice) can be returned within 7 days of delivery for a full refund or replacement. Change-of-mind returns depend on the seller and gold price changes. Refunds are paid within 10 working days of the item being received back.
Gold and silver prices change every day and many pieces are made, sized or engraved for you, so returns work a little differently from other shopping. This policy sets the minimum standards every order on GoldRatesDaily must meet — whether you buy from us or from an independent jeweller on the marketplace. A seller's own policy (shown on their shop page or confirmed before you buy) can be more generous, never less. Your rights under Pakistani consumer-protection law are not affected.
1. Check your order on delivery
- Open the parcel in front of the courier if you can. Don't accept a parcel whose seal or tamper-evident packaging is broken — refuse it and contact us.
- Check the item, the invoice (weight, karat/purity, hallmark, gold value and making charge) and any certificate. We recommend recording a short unboxing video — it makes any claim quick.
- Tell us or the seller about any problem within 48 hours of delivery where possible, and no later than 7 days.
2. Wrong, damaged or not-as-described items — full refund or replacement
You can return an item within 7 days of delivery for a full refund (including delivery charges) or a replacement, at no cost to you, if:
- you received the wrong item, size or quantity;
- it arrived damaged, broken or with a manufacturing defect;
- its weight is lower than invoiced (beyond normal scale tolerance) or its karat/purity is lower than stated — confirmed by a recognised assay lab or hallmark centre;
- it is materially different from the product page (description, stones, design).
For a purity claim, keep the item in the same condition and send the lab report; if the report confirms the problem, the seller also pays the reasonable testing cost.
3. Change of mind
- Ready-made jewellery: sellers may accept a change-of-mind return within 7 days if the item is unused, undamaged, with tags, packaging, invoice and certificate. The refund is the gold value at that day's rate (it can be higher or lower than what you paid) plus any part of the making charge the seller agrees to return; the seller states its terms before you buy. Delivery charges are not refunded.
- Exchange: many jewellers prefer an exchange for another piece; the gold is valued at the day's rate and you pay or receive the difference.
- Buy-back: after the return period, sellers may buy back gold at the day's rate minus their usual deduction (katt) — ask the seller for their rate in writing.
4. Items that can't be returned for change of mind
- Items made to order, resized, altered or engraved for you.
- Gold and silver bars and coins once the seal or tamper-evident packaging is opened or the certificate is separated (they can still be returned if wrong or not as described, with the seal intact).
- Earrings and nose pins for hygiene reasons, unless faulty.
- Items damaged after delivery by wear, accident or alteration.
- Lucky draw prizes and gifts (these can't be exchanged for cash).
5. Cancelling an order
- Before dispatch: contact the seller or us as soon as possible. For in-stock items you get a full refund. If the gold rate has moved, the seller may only deduct a reasonable charge they told you about before you ordered.
- Made-to-order items: once work has started, the seller may keep a deposit for the gold and labour already used, as agreed at the time of order.
- After dispatch: treat it as a return under sections 2–3.
- If a seller cancels (out of stock, clear price error), you get a full refund.
6. How to request a return or refund
- Contact the seller or us on WhatsApp +923313337253 or at info@goldratesdaily.com with your order number, what's wrong, and photos or your unboxing video.
- We or the seller confirm within 2 working days and arrange collection or tell you where to send it. Pack it securely with the invoice and certificate; use an insured, tracked service for valuable items.
- The item is inspected (weight, karat, condition) when it arrives — usually within 3 working days.
7. Refunds
- Approved refunds are paid within 10 working days of the item being received back (or of cancellation before dispatch).
- Online payments (JazzCash, Easypaisa, card) are refunded to the same account or wallet. Cash on delivery, bank transfer and pay-at-store orders are refunded by bank transfer to an account in the buyer's name.
- Payment providers may take a few extra days to show the money in your account. We don't charge refund fees for faulty or wrong items.
- Partial refunds may apply where an item comes back used, damaged or incomplete, or for change-of-mind returns valued at the day's gold rate.
8. If you can't agree with a seller
Contact us with your order number. We review the order, the messages and any evidence from both sides and decide fairly, usually within 7 working days. We can require the seller to refund or replace an item that breaks this policy, and we suspend sellers who repeatedly don't. This doesn't stop you from using your legal rights.

Returns & Refunds — FAQs
Can I return gold jewellery bought online?
Yes — if it's wrong, damaged, or its weight or karat is lower than invoiced, you get a full refund or replacement within 7 days. Change-of-mind returns depend on the seller and are valued at that day's gold rate.
Why is my refund different from what I paid?
For change-of-mind returns the gold is valued at the day it comes back, because the gold price changes daily, and making charges may not be refundable. Faulty, wrong or not-as-described items are always refunded in full.
How long do refunds take?
Within 10 working days of the item being received back; online payments go back to the same wallet or account, other payments by bank transfer.
Can I return a gold bar or coin?
Only if it is wrong or not as described and the seal is intact. Once the seal or tamper-evident packaging is opened, bars and coins can't be returned for change of mind.
