About GoldRatesDaily
GoldRatesDaily publishes live gold, silver, platinum, palladium and base-metal prices for Pakistan and 59 other countries, along with city rates, currency rates, price history, calculators, daily market reports and a marketplace for jewellers. The site is free to use.
How our prices are calculated
- International prices. Spot prices for gold, silver, platinum, palladium and base metals are collected in US dollars from international market data and refreshed about every 10 minutes.
- Exchange rates. Reference mid-market exchange rates for 160+ currencies are refreshed several times a day.
- Conversion. Price per gram = USD price per troy ounce ÷ 31.1035 × exchange rate × purity. Purity: 24K = 99.9%, 22K = 91.6%, 21K = 87.5%, 18K = 75%.
- Local units. 1 tola = 11.6638 g (12 masha, 96 ratti); 1 troy ounce = 31.1035 g; base metals are shown per kg and per maund (40 kg).
- Pakistan. The Pakistani rate is the international price converted at the dollar-rupee rate, adjusted to the local Sarafa market when the local premium or discount is known.
- Other countries. Country prices are international parity — the metal value before local taxes (VAT, GST, import duty) and making charges.
- History. Each day's closing price is stored, so past rates can be looked up on the price history page.
Rates are indicative and for information only. Jewellers' buying and selling prices include making charges, deductions and taxes and can differ. Always confirm the final price with your jeweller before buying or selling.
Editorial policy
Our daily market reports and guides are written from the price data on this site and from public, verifiable sources, which are listed under each article where used. Live price figures inside articles update automatically. We correct mistakes as soon as we find them — tell us if you spot one. We do not give personal investment advice; articles explain the market and how prices work.
Marketplace
Jewellers apply to sell on the marketplace and are reviewed before their shop goes live. Product prices are calculated live from today's rate plus each jeweller's making charge, shown separately.
